West Liberty-Salem’s football team started Ohio Heritage Conference action off with a bang Friday.
The Tigers raced past host Southeastern 43-13 for an OHC victory and their biggest margin of victory over the Trojans since 2007.
The win keeps WL-Salem’s record perfect at 4-0 and 1-0 in the OHC. Southeastern falls to 2-2, 0-1.
Quarterback Riley Sims got the Tigers’ offense rolling in the first quarter with three touchdown passes. He connected with Ross Hickenbottom on a 23-yard TD strike and then found Landon Hormann for TD passes of 26 and 9 yards. The three TDs allowed the Tigers to get out to a 20-0 lead.
