GAME PREVIEW: Chiefs look to stem the tide vs. Ben Logan

Raiders have won the last two meetings between the county rivals

Ben Logan’s triple-option offense will be a tough test for a Bellefontaine defense that has had issues stopping the run.

Bellefontaine once dominated its football series against Benjamin Logan, but the Raiders have enjoyed bragging rights recently in the matchup of Logan County rivals.

Ben Logan knocked off Bellefontaine 19-17 in 2010 for only its second win over the Chiefs and first since 1982. The Raiders did it again last year, beating Bellefontaine 22-20.

The two local squads meet again Friday in Bellefontaine. The Chiefs are hoping to keep Ben Logan from stretching its winning streak to three.

“Any time you are playing in a rivalry game, there are bragging rights on the line,” said BHS head coach Chris Schmidt. “Ben Logan beat us the last two years. Just like anybody else would against a rival, we want to reverse the trend. It is important for our kids, especially our seniors, to turn this back around.”
