WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Ben Logan’s triple-option offense will be a tough test for a Bellefontaine defense that has had issues stopping the run. |
Bellefontaine once dominated its football series against Benjamin Logan, but the Raiders have enjoyed bragging rights recently in the matchup of Logan County rivals.
Ben Logan knocked off Bellefontaine 19-17 in 2010 for only its second win over the Chiefs and first since 1982. The Raiders did it again last year, beating Bellefontaine 22-20.
The two local squads meet again Friday in Bellefontaine. The Chiefs are hoping to keep Ben Logan from stretching its winning streak to three.
“Any time you are playing in a rivalry game, there are bragging rights on the line,” said BHS head coach Chris Schmidt. “Ben Logan beat us the last two years. Just like anybody else would against a rival, we want to reverse the trend. It is important for our kids, especially our seniors, to turn this back around.”
