Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team clinched the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division regular season title Wednesday with a victory over Graham at Tree Links Golf Course.
The Raiders dominated the Falcons 159-209 and were powered by Blaine Ricketts with a low round of 37.
Also aiding in the win were Grant Ricketts with a 39, Jordan Sosby with a 41 and Ed Kenoyer with a 42.
Ben Logan wraps up the regular season on Monday against Urbana at Tree Links.
Chiefs fall to Arrows
Tecumseh’s boys golf team held on for a 149-159 victory over host Bellefontaine on Wednesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club in a Central Buckeye Conference contest.
The Chieftains’ Cody Lyons fired a 33 to earn medalist honors.
Also for BHS, Travis Fowler shot a 38, Devin Fowler carded a 43, Jarrett Beck had a 45 and Cody Hullinger and Nate Langenfeld each had a 46.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine won with a season-best score of 185. Landyn Butler fired a 41, Colton Dement had a 47, Zach Reames carded a 48, Derek Markley had a 49 and Ryan Penny added a 60.
Bellefontaine travels to Springfield Shawnee today for a CBC tri-match.
Hillclimbers top Lakers
Urbana’s boys golf team topped visiting Indian Lake 172-190 on Wednesday at Urbana Country Club in a Central Buckeye Conference meeting.
Caleb Meadows led the Lakers with a 42, Randall Henson and Quenten Staley each had a 48 and Timmy Arvin added a 52.
Indian Lake travels to Springfield Shawnee today for CBC action.
Indians ground Cardinals
Mechanicsburg’s boys golf team defeated visiting Triad 207-224 on Wednesday at Indian Springs Golf Course in an Ohio Heritage Conference matchup.
Seth Donohoe sparked the Cardinals as the medalist with a 45, Ryan Kaylor carded a 57, Summer Detrick shot a 58 and Kole Smith had a 64.
Triad hosts Southeastern today at Woodland Golf Club.
GIRLS GOLF
Ben Logan edges Greenon
Benjamin Logan’s girls golf team edged host Greenon by two strokes Wednesday to win 207-209 at Snyder Park in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
The Raiders are now 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the CBC.
Domonique Johnson fired a 41 to lead Ben Logan, while Morgan Fultz carded a 51, Mary Kerns shot a 54 and Jessie Dodson and Madison Leis each added 60s.
Ben Logan hosts Graham on Monday in CBC action.
Cougars down Chieftains
Kenton Ridge’s girls golf team downed visiting Bellefontaine 181-211 on Wednesday in a Central Buckeye Conference contest.
For the Chiefs, Chelsea McLaughlin carded a 47, Allie Skelley had a 52, Sarah Hall shot a 53 and Kathleen Coakley had a 59.
Bellefontaine hosts Mechanicsburg today in a non-league contest.
St. Henry edges Lakers in tri-match
St. Henry’s girls golf team edged Indian Lake and beat host Minster on Wednesday in a non-league tri-match at Arrowhead Golf Course.
The Redskins slipped past the Lakers 194-198 to win, while the Wildcats were third with 214.
Indian Lake’s Morgan Barnett was match medalist with a 42.
Also in action were Sean Pusey with a 47, Murphy Oberle with a 53, Ashley Wall with a 56 and Kylie Speicher with a 60.
