Benjamin Logan’s football team failed to bounce back Saturday as visiting Kenton Ridge ran away with a 49-26 non-league win.
The Cougars (3-0) scored 26 points in the second quarter on Friday to take a 26-12 lead. The game was then stopped because of lightning just before halftime.
Kenton Ridge continued to move the ball with its talented rushing attack Saturday with senior Max Winnenberg. The Cougar standout finished the game with a career-high 299 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
In the third quarter, the Cougars outscored the Raiders 10-0 to take a 36-12 advantage.
Ben Logan was able to score two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to pass Kenton Ridge.
Jeremy Brisson led the Raiders with 188 rushing yards on 32 carries and two touchdowns. Trent Rodenberger added 93 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Defensively for Ben Logan, Beau Harmon and Kyle Ackley each had 10 tackles, Joe Worrell and Brent Weiss each added nine tackles and Josh Bontjes added eight tackles.
Ben Logan travels to Bellefontaine on Friday for a local Central Buckeye Conference crossover game.
