The event was originally scheduled for Aug. 4, but was postponed because of rain.
Columbus driver Donnie Hill paced the MERS field during time trials with a 12.604 lap.
Mahaffey started from the pole in the feature. The race was slowed on the second lap when Craig Everage spun, eliminating him from the night’s action.
Mahaffey went on to dominate the action to get the win and the $2,000 first-place prize. Drew Charleson was second, Scott Drake took third, Bud Perry was fourth and Marcus Malcuit took fifth.
