The Bellefontaine varsity boys golf team recorded a 166-171 victory over Tippecanoe in a Central Buckeye Conference match Tuesday.
The Chiefs’ Cody Lyons was the medalist with a 38. Cody Hullinger had a 41, Travis Fowler had a 42, Jarrett Beck and Nate Langenfeld each had 45s and Landyn Butler had a 47.
In the junior varsity match, Tippecanoe won 191-214. Colton DeMent led the Chiefs with a 42, Devin Fowler had a 43, Ryan Penny shot a 64 and Derek Markley had a 65.
WL-Salem gets OHC win over Cedarville
West Liberty-Salem’s boys golf team handled visiting Cedarville 169-216 on Tuesday for an Ohio Heritage Conference victory at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
The Tigers are now 6-2 in OHC play.
“We continue to improve, which is a good sign,” said WL-Salem head coach Darrin Leichty. “We haven’t peaked yet, so, hopefully, we can climb back into the OHC race with a good second half of the season.”
