Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team had its biggest finish of the season Saturday by winning the Springfield Shawnee David Christoff Memorial at Reid North Golf Course.
The Raiders won with a score of 316 to beat out 23 other teams. West Liberty-Salem also participated and finished ninth with a 343.
It was also a memorable day for the Tigers’ Nick Sims, who was tournament medalist. The senior fired a 70 and set a new school record by being two under par for 18 holes.
Jordan Sosby and Ed Kenoyer led Ben Logan with a pair of 78s, while Blaine Ricketts carded a 79 and Cole Saylor with an 81.
For WL-Salem, Jacob Rutan carded an 84, Ethan McBean had an 88, Casey Gay shot a 101 and Zach Smith added a 108.
The Raiders travel to Northwestern today, while the Tigers host Springfield Catholic Central at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
