Mary Lou Inskeep, 97, of West Liberty, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 26, 1915, to the late Leslie and Leona Buchenroth Mohr.
On Dec. 24, 1934, she married Herbert Polk Inskeep in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2012. She also was preceded in death by a son, Donald Inskeep; and her siblings, Wilma Joy Warren and Richard Mohr.
Survivors include a son, Gerald E. Inskeep of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Inskeep, Robin (Roger) Neer, Shelley Inskeep and Jana (Jim) Strzalka; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A homemaker and nurses aide at Mary Rutan Hospital, Mary Lou was a member of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren, the Farm Bureau Council and the Union Township Ladies Club. She enjoyed crafts and creating cardinals by needlepoint.
Mary Lou was well known for making candy, especially her taffy and divinity.
Gene Marine officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, with visitation two hours prior. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
