Kenneth E. Miller, 89, of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of Lakeview and Russells Point, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Tuscany Hospice in Summerfield.
He was born in Dayton on Jan. 13, 1924, to the late Esta C. and Elizabeth Dorothy Shroder Miller. After his mother’s passing at a young age, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Rose Miller, who also preceded him in death.
On Nov. 17, 1946, he married the former Mildred L. “Millie” Dennison and she preceded him in death on Aug. 16, 2001.
He is survived by three children, Carol Sue Wise of Elyria, Brian J. (Connie) Miller of Lakeview and Gary L. (Nadine) Miller of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Wise of Atlanta, Ga., Dee (Jody) Juhasz and David Wise, both of Elyria, Christopher (Jaci) Miller of West Liberty, Joshua Miller of Lakeview and Scott (Lisa) Lineback and Brooke Lineback, both of Columbus; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he retired from Dana Corporation in Lima. He was a former volunteer firefighter for Vandalia.
In 1989, he moved to Spruce Creek South in Summerfield and was a member of Village View Community Church.He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, watching NASCAR and the OSU Buckeyes.
No public services are scheduled at this time. Inurnment is in Huntsville Cemetery at a later date.
