Allie Metz Diehl, 91, of Marysville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
She was born in Logan County on Dec. 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Milton and Lenora Barnhart Metz.
In August 1957, she married Robert Leroy Diehl and he preceded her in death in 1992. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Loraine; and brother, Earl.
She is survived by sons, Roy (Susan) Diehl of Albany, N.Y., and Ruh (Vivian) Diehl of Hilliard; grandchildren, Adalaide, Suzanna, Genevieve, Zackery and Hannah Diehl; brothers, Arthur Metz of Bellefontaine and George Metz of Lakeview; and sister, Charlene Mitchell of Bellefontaine.
She was a beautician and worked as a home health aide with Interim Health Care in Marysville until her death.
She was of the Baha’i Faith and a Baha’i Pioneer to China and Fiji.
A member of the Marysville YMCA, she also was a Toastmasters keynote speaker.
Allie was an adventurer and loved the fact that she went parasailing at age 83, hang gliding at age 89 and skydiving at age 90.
A graveside service is at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Zanesfield Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine.
