Roy E. Westfall, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Troy on Aug. 26, 1923, to the late Mary Heizer Westfall.
In 1953, he married the former Clara Fay in Toledo and she preceded him in death Jan. 26, 2006. He also was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Lee Westfall and Earlena Jackson; and a grandson, Robby Cook.
Survivors include a son, Bill (Linda) Westfall of Bellefontaine; a stepdaughter, Sandy (Donald) Stahler of Rushsylvania; sister, Imogene (Norman) Wehner of Piqua; five grandsons, Mike, Don and Eric Cook and Nathan and Matt Westfall; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Roy was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, baking pies for his friends in Rushsylvania and having coffee at the One Stop Marathon.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where Pastor Eric Cook officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial is in the Harper Cemetery.
Family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, 624 Township Road 55, Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
