Ruth Eileen Leidinger, 83, of Bellefontaine, died at 9:29 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the home of her niece, Susie Bodenmiller of Quincy.
She was born in Logan County on Jan. 21, 1930, a daughter of the late Loren E. and Helen E. Huber Williamson.
On Aug. 4, 1972, she married John Edward Leidinger in DeGraff and he died Aug. 27, 1998. She also was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Hanks; brothers-in-law, George and Robert Leidinger and Don Bodenmiller; brother- and sister-in-law, Herman and Flora Leidinger.
Survivors include a sister, Martha Bodenmiller of DeGraff; nieces, Shirley (Jim) King and Connie Hanks, both of Bellefontaine, and Susie Bodenmiller of Quincy; nephews; Mike Bodenmiller of South Charleston, Ray (Julie) Bodenmiller of Bellefontaine and Jim (JoAnn) Bodenmiller of Springfield; and sisters-in-law, Dolores (Paul) Finnerty of Reynoldsburg and Rosella and Josephine Leidinger, both of Columbus.
A graduate of DeGraff High School, she was a retired bookkeeper at Huntington National Bank in Bellefontaine, where she worked for more than 29 years.
She was a member of DeGraff United Methodist Church, Logan County Friendly Senior Center and several bridge clubs.
Her body is being cremated and there are no calling hours. A graveside service to inter her ashes is at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, with Pastors Kymberly James and Bill Halter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society and Universal Home Health and Hospice.
