Gertrude A. Buck, 83, of Belle Center, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born in Geneva, N.Y., on Aug. 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Grover and Carrie Fleece Brown.
On June 12, 1951, she married Benjamin Buck in Rome, N.Y., and he preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1980. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Carrie (Jim Akers) Cavinder of Rushsylvania; sons, Benjamin Buck II of Marysville and Frank (Teresa) Buck of Kenton; grandchildren, Shawn, Scott and Shannon Van Hoose, Freedom Cavinder, Trinity (Chet) Tavenner, Christopher (Makinizie) Cavinder, Kevin (Cindy) Williams, Jeremy (Heather) Buck, Janna (Jason) Hunt, Jennifer (Ryan) Thornburg, Jordy (Brittany) Buck, Jandra Buck and Bailey Thiel; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She worked as a dietitian at San Antonio Hospital in Kenton and also at Kroger and Big Lots in Bellefontaine.
She was a member of the Belle Center Presbyterian Church and also enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center.
