James Edward “Jimmy” Lackey, 44, of Rawson, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Kentucky.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Jan. 25, 1969. His mother, Linda Lackey Sexton, preceded him in death.
On June 1, 2002, he married the former Melissa Smith and she survives, along with six children, Calyssa, Caitlynn, Gage, Rylan, Mason and Kenna Lackey; a grandson, Bryson Early; half-brother, Richard Lackey of Virginia; and half-sister, Jennifer (Lance) Worrell of Logan County.
He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Mt. Cory Masonic Lodge.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Very kind-hearted, Jimmy would never hesitate to help anyone.
A memorial service begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay.
Memorial contributions may be made for the children’s education to Melissa Lackey.
