Marilyn A. Richter, 82, of Lakeview, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 18, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Marilyn was born in Lima on Oct. 27, 1930, a daughter of the late Carl A. and Lottie B. Rise Frysinger.
On April 15, 1950, she married Robert L. Richter in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and he preceded her in death April 19, 1999. She also was preceded in death by five siblings, Donald C. Frysinger, Ralph C. Frysinger, Betty Shappell, Robert J. Frysinger and Earl W. Frysinger.
She is survived by five children, Joseph (Gayle) Richter of Trubuco Canyon, Calif., Robert C. (Cindy) Richter of Lakeview, John D. (Rae) Richter and Paul A. (Erica) Richter, both of Huntsville, and Susan D. (Dan) Comer of Bellefontaine; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1948 graduate of Lima Central High School, she was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Russells Point, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Altar Sodality of St. Mary of the Woods and Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533.
The Rev. Patrick L. Sheridan leads a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of Woods Church, with visitation one hour prior. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, with prayers at 1:45 p.m. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
