Geraldine R. “Gerry” Kidwell, 93, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.
She was born in Miamisburg on Nov. 8, 1919, a daughter of the late Clement and Ethel Penwell Graham, and lived in DeGraff for 20 years. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Kidwell; two sisters, Eileen Blackburn and Pauline Baber; two grandsons, Doug and Darren Kidwell; a granddaughter, Amy Ann Kidwell; and a great-grandson, Trent Southard.
She is survived by her four sons, James (Patty) Kidwell of Carlisle, C. Eugene (Mary Ann) Kidwell of Sandusky, Jerry Lee (Carolyn) Kidwell of Marysville and Rick (Belinda) Kidwell of New Carlisle; her daughter, Dusty (Barney) Schenck of Carlisle, her sister, Phyllis (Raymond) Gephart of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Pastor Jeff Foster officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at the Swart & Wolfe Funeral Home, West Carrollton, where visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is in Hillgrove Cemetery.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Douglas Kidwell Memorial Scholarship Fund, Sandusky City Schools, 407 Decatur St., Sandusky 44870, Attn: Kevin Robertson, Treasurer.
