Leath A. Moon, 43, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 8, 1969, a son of Anita Smith Stalk, who survives in Bellefontaine, and the late Larry Moon. He also was preceded in death by an infant sister, Amy Leann Moon; his paternal grandparents, George and Hazel Moon; uncle, Rodney Moon; and infant uncle, Lynn Owen Smith.
He also is survived by his stepfather, Don Stalk; brothers, Lane (Lisa) Moon of Urbana and Lance (Becky) Moon of Minster; maternal grandparents, Laird (Betty) Smith of Florida; aunts and uncles, Anthony (Sue) Moon of Belle Center, Edward (Deb) Smith of Florida, Richard (Joan) Smith of Bellefontaine and Phyllis (Al) Smith of Florida; and nieces and nephews, Josh, Holly, Natasha, Drew and Justin.
A jack of all trades, he worked at Tanger’s Furniture in Bellefontaine and enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing carpentry and upholstery work. He also enjoyed working with his nephews with their 4-H pigs.
Gene Marine conducts a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hale Cemetery.
