Dorothy Jean Horn, 62, of Ridgeway, died at 12:06 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Kenton on Aug. 20, 1950, to Paul and Norma Jean Scott Newland.
On Jan. 11, 1969, she married David Horn and he survives in Ridgeway, along with a daughter, Nichole (Abe) Myers of Ridgeway; son David Horn II of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Trenton and Zachary Myers of Ridgeway and Jaydyn, Trinity and Isabelle Horn of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Butch (Chris) Newland of Kenton and Tom Newland of Forest; four sisters, Cheri Dye of Kenton, Marcia (Ron) Kinnear of Lima, Penny (Mark) Prater of Kenton and Tammy (Clayton) Baldwin of Kenton; and many nieces and nephews.
A Wal-Mart retiree, she was a member of Only Believe Ministries Church in Kenton and truly loved the Lord.
Dorothy Jean was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to cook, loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Pastor Phil Walker officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Victory United Methodist Church, where visitation begins at 11 a.m. Burial is in Hale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice in Findlay.
