Elinor Jane Raymond, 85, of West Liberty, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 5, 2012, at Green Hills Retirement Community, West Liberty.

She was born in West Liberty on Jan. 2, 1927, to the late Homer and Grace Derr Knabel. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold S. Oder, in 1974.

On Sept. 18, 1976, she married Henry N. Raymond in California and he survives in West Liberty, along with sons, Guy (Nancy) Oder of Buford, Ga., and Mitchell Oder of California; and two granddaughters.

She attended Wheaton College in Illinois and later graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in education. While in California, she worked in accounting with social services for 10 years.

She enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling.

Pastor Cheryl Siegenthaler officiates a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home, West Liberty. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
