Margaret Gardner, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 8:29 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born in Upper Sandusky on June 22, 1923, to the late William and Amanda Karch Barth. She also was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Gardner, three sisters and two brothers.
On March 13, 1943, she married Harold K. Gardner in Upper Sandusky and he survives, along with a daughter, Barbara (Mike) Bartfield of West Chester; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Reva Zender of Sycamore; and several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Margaret loved flowers, feeding the birds and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine.
Pastor Jonathan Bull officiates a graveside service at noon Thursday at the Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
