Wayne Earl LeVan Sr.

LEVAN-Wayne obit

Wayne E. LeVan Sr., 64, of Lakeview, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Bellefontaine on July 29, 1948, a son of the late Robert and Betty Jacobs LeVan. He also was preceded in death by grandchildren, Cody LeVan and Jewellianna LeVan; sister, Naomi Outland; and a nephew, Dereck LeVan.

Survivors include his life partner, Sue Roberts of Lakeview; a daughter, Tammera LeVan of Bellefontaine; sons, Richie (Janice) Idle of Beavercreek, Wayne LeVan Jr. of Middle Point and Shawn LeVan of Piqua; grandchildren, Brooke and Brendan Idle, Aaron, Jacob, Carrie, Wayne III, Mercedes, Paige, Shawn-Michael LeVan, Christopher, Stephanie LeVan Cassar and Tava LeVan-Thompson; great-grandchildren, Gavin Xavier LeVan, Gabriel Thomas LeVan, Tristan Cassar, Emmett Cassar, Sophia Carranza and Izabella Lusby; sisters, Dolly (Denny) Floss of Piqua, Betty (Bob) Gardner of Bellefontaine and Sandy Vernon of Bellefontaine; brothers, Bob (Tina) LeVan of Piqua and Jerry (Robin) LeVan of Lewistown; and many special nieces and nephews.

He owned and operated LeVan Bait & Tackle of Indian Lake and enjoyed fishing and collecting fishing lures. He loved to spend time with his family.

A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Eichholtz Funeral Home.
