Lois Ann Butler, 82, of Lakeview, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2012, while staying at her son’s home in Lakeview during her illness.
She was born in Lakeview on March 4, 1930, to the late Percy S. Brentlinger I and Mildred L. Brady Brentlinger.
On Dec. 18, 1968, she married Gerald R. Butler in Minneapolis and he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Percy S. Brentlinger II and John Brentlinger.
She is survived by four children, Don (Cathy) Parish I and David D. (Sara) Parish, both of Pickerington, and Mary Ann Parish and Patrick (Laura) Parish, both of Lakeview; 10 grandchildren, Don Parish II, Christopher, Mark, Colin, Nicholas, Nicole, Brittany, Ian, Stacy and Heather; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Makris of Lakeview and Patricia Chiles of DeGraff; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1947 graduate of Stokes Local School in Lakeview, Lois was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post 39 Auxiliary, where she held several offices, both in Lakeview.
She enjoyed sending special occasion cards and was affectionately known as the card lady for both church and the auxiliary. She enjoyed making crafts, especially items including Christmas themes.
Pastor Rob Kilgore conducts a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church, Lakeview.
