Hallie E. Elliott, 99, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
She was born in Charleston, W.Va., on Aug. 31, 1913, a daughter of the late John and Laura Erwin Angle.
On April 23, 1932, she married Joe O. Elliott and he preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1970. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia L. “Ginger” (Bob) Provo; a son, Donald H. “Donnie” (Mary Lou) Elliott; brothers, Roy, Kenneth, Vincent, Clarence and Lloyd Angle; and sisters, Agnes Strayer and Helen Porter.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Mike (Donna) Provo, Jackie (Mike) Atkinson, Bobby (Mich) Provo, Jim Provo, Teri (Mark) Ransbottom and John (Pam) Provo; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was a cook at Mary Rutan Hospital and worked with the elderly when she lived in Florida. A member of the Bellefontaine Friendship Club, she enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting and crafts.
Hallie will be greatly missed!
Pastor Greg Haisley of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Bellefontaine officiates at a private graveside service at a later time in Harper Cemetery.
