Ronald E. Parmer, 71, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ronald was born in Bellefontaine on June 7, 1943, to the late Homer J. “Bud” and Katheleen Parmer.
On Aug. 22, 1970, he married the former Lorenia “Mic” Dennison from Lakeview and she survives along, with his two daughters, Buffy (John Adams) Cayot and Nikki (Josh) Aten; three grandsons, Trent (new granddaughter-in-law Marci) Cayot, Taylor Cayot and Carter Aten; sisters, Beverly (Larry) Fent and Kathy Wilt; nieces and nephews, Deb (Jerry) Dillon, Shelly (Brett) Conway, Lora (Larry) Shaffer and Bill (Christina) Wilt; and long-time friends, Bob and Suzanne Bailey.
A hard-working man, Ronald was employed with DAB for 15 years, and later retired from Honda of America after 22 years.
Ronald enjoyed watching Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Reds, but most of all he enjoyed watching his three grandsons play their sports.
He was a great friend and a loving man who always put his family first.
He will be greatly missed but is now in the hands of the Lord.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, West Liberty. A private graveside service is at a later date.
