Lois F. Crawford, 97, of Belle Center, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Fairhaven Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.
She was born in Wood County on June 27, 1917, to the late Samuel and Minnie Keller Hunsicker.
On Nov. 25, 1942, she married John George Crawford in Kenton and he preceded her in death March 6, 1987. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Harvey and Paul Hunsicker, Mary Rodenberger, Pearl Fry and Betty Jane Ludwig.
Surviving are three daughters, Gloria (Cletus) Stewart of Tiffin, Diane (Randy) Scott of Bellefontaine and Jackie (Mel) Walton of Belle Center; six grandchildren, Renee Price, Kelli Owens, Chad Walton, Amy Hill, Erin Jankowski and Jill Cronkleton; 13 great-grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Regan, John, Molly, Zoe, Abe, Ben, Jenna, Lynzee, Kyndal, Stella and Jack; a brother-in-law, Donald Crawford of Belle Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois and her husband owned and operated the Dairy Isle for 28 years and the Department Store, both in Belle Center. She was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church and its Women’s Society.
Pastor Kevin Smith officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center, where calling is two hours prior. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
