Gregory Emil Renner, 51, of St. Paris, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, on Feb. 5, 1963. He spent all of his growing up years in Pleasant Hill, graduating from Newton High School in 1981.
On Aug. 29, 1987, he was married to Jennifer Miller and she survives. They enjoyed almost 27 years together, making their home in St. Paris for the past 17 years.
He is also survived by his four children, Harrison Gregory, 23, Logan Kenneth, 21, Weston Fredrick, 19 and Hannah Catherine, 16; his parents, Harry Emil and Glenna Warner Renner of Pleasant Hill; father- and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Kathleen Kuntz Miller of Pleasant Hill; a brother, Anthony Renner of Boston; a sister, Anita (Dean) Sink of Covington; his wife’s sisters and brother, Lisa (Gary) Landes of Lewisburg, Sarah (Ronald) Landes of Elderado and Jonathan (Erin) Miller of Troy; and many nieces and nephews and made lots of happy family memories.
A nephew, Adam Landes, preceded him in death.
Greg worked at Honda of America in Anna for almost 25 years. He was a gifted mechanic who most enjoyed hobby farming.
As a child, he attended Grace Bible Church in Springfield, and currently was a member at Grace Chapel Church, West Liberty, where Pastors Josh Gelatt and Marvin Wiseman officiate a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, and where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12. Burial is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Grace Chapel Church.
