Joan Jacqueline Turner, 88, of Bellefontaine, completed her life’s journey Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
She was born in Canton on Nov. 2, 1925. She was preceded in death by her best friend and mother, Laura “Babo” (Brown) Simpson, and her beloved husband, William C. “Bill” Turner.
Surviving are her children, Richard T. (Debra) Turner of Woodstock, Ga., and Ronna (Dennis) Maciejewski of Baltimore; grandchildren, Tyler (Jennifer) Turner and Paige (Dennis) Holland; and great-grandchildren, triplets Claire, Luke and Thomas Turner. She also was blessed to have two very special friends, Nancy McGinnis and Lauretta Henry, along with Jenny from Open Arms, who allowed Joan to live until the end of her life “the way and where she wanted too.”
Pastor Rose Marie Michael officiates a graveside service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Huntsville Cemetery.
Because of her love for animals, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Top of Ohio Pet Shelter, 2521 N. U.S. Route 68 , Bellefontaine 43311.
