Mary Beth Caldwell, 55, of Springfield, Ill., died at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
Mary was born in Springfield, Ill., on July 13, 1959, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary B. Mahoney.
She married Curtis Neal Caldwell on Jan. 11, 1992, at Christ the King Parish.
Mary was a 1977 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and received her bachelor of science degree in juvenile criminology from Bradley University in 1981. She worked for the Sangamon County Juvenile Probation office for 12 years.
Mary was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader for 12 years and was cookie chairman for West Springfield.
She was an avid Notre Dame football fan, St. Louis Cardinals fan and all Sacred Heart-Griffin sports fan.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Caldwell of Springfield, Ill.; two daughters, Rachel and Courtney, both of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Kevin Mahoney of Springfield, Ill., and Brian Mahoney of California; one sister, Regina (husband, Dennis) Lock of Springfield, Ill.; father-in-law, Calvin Caldwell of West Liberty; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Bruce) Cumming of Springfield, Ill., and Linda (Lavoy) Thompson of North Lewisburg; three nephews, Sean Mahoney and Jon and Tom Lock; three nieces, Shannon Mahoney, Katie Lock and Anne Cumming; five great-nieces and nephews; three aunts, Joan Landolt of Virginia Beach, Va., Beatrice Froebe of West Liberty and Kathleen (William) Smith of Reynoldsburg; cousins, Allan Landolt of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mark Landolt of Chicago, Terry Bishirjian of Norfolk, Va., Kay Rountree of Rancho Mirage, Calif., Maura Spreen of Virginia Beach, Va., Renee Huglin of Portland, Ore., and Matthew Landolt of Riverton, Ill.
Services were at Christ the King Parish, 1930 Barberry Drive, Springfield, Ill., with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
