Kathleen Martin, 86, of Columbus, formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Mayfair Village, Columbus.
She was born in Columbus on Feb. 24, 1928, a daughter of the late Garrett and Elsie Denbow Reilly.
On May 29, 1948, she married Hugh A. Martin in Columbus and he preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1988. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Bailey and Margaret Dolezal; and a brother, Garrett Reilly Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Thomas) Rudell of Columbus; sons, Bruce Martin of Loveland, Colo., and Scott Martin of Marysville; five grandchildren, Molly, John, Brian, Patrick and Jessica; and six great-grandchildren, Brynn, Bryson, Reilly, Kaden, Brielle and Conner.
A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, she also was a member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild and the D.A.R.
She retired from the Logan County Recorder’s Office and helped her husband operate Martin’s Bike Shop.
Father Patrick Sheridan officiates a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. Inurnment is at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
