Jerold Lee ‘Jerry’ Eisenhut, 74, of 241 Chase Avenue, Russells Point, passed away at 7:34 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Sidney, a son of the late Ralph and Kathryn Buckenroth Eisenhut.
On Sept. 11, 1965, he married Brenda Jean Smith, who survives along with four children, Deidre (Jeff) Brose of Athens, Ga., Debra (Jim) Watterson of Brooklyn, Mich., David (Krissy) Eisenhut of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Dustin (Amy) Eisenhut of Lakeview; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Eisenhut of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allyson Eisenhut.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army, enlisting in 1960 and serving two years stationed at Ft. Ord in California. He was a general superintendent for Granite and Hood Construction Companies, overseeing complex jobs in civil engineering and infrastructure in California and Hawaii.
A member of the Russells Point Moose Lodge, in his down time he enjoyed taking out his boat to go fishing with his close friend, Jim Weybright. Jerry always put his family first and had a special bond with his grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
