Clifton A. “Cliff” Anderson, 82, of DeGraff, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born on March 22, 1932, in Champaign County to the late Oscar and Nannie Asbury Anderson.
On July 31, 1955, he married the former Virginia Owen and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2009. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Dicey, and two brothers, Cecil and Wesley.
Survivors include three children, Debbie Anderson, Lori Anderson and Ronnie Anderson, all of Bellefontaine; three granddaughters, Jennifer Jenkins of Lakeview, Charlene (Mike) Wiseman of Zanesfield and Angela (Mark) Johnson of DeGraff; four great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Tommy, Destiny and Haylee; two brothers, Sylvain Anderson and Ephraim Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Cliff was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea. He retired from Copeland Corporation in Sidney after 45 years. He was a member of the Bellefontaine Apostolic Temple in Bellefontaine and American Legion Post 652 Miami Valley in DeGraff. He enjoyed being outdoors, telling stories and talking about cars. He loved being with his children and grandchildren.
Brother Tony Coy will begin funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, with visitation one hour prior. Burial is in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris.
