Christine Hope Murray, 67, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Sept. 25, 1946, to the late Phillip Frances and Ruth Hilda Bell Lantz. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Christian Murray; granddaughter, Alysha; great-grandson, Coltin; and a sister, Cathleen A. German.
She is survived by her former husband, Ronald L. Murray of DeGraff, whom she married July 19, 1968, in Zanesfield, by the Rev. Furby; her children, Kimberlee Ruth (Brad) Fisher of DeGraff and Mary Elizabeth Murray-Jones of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Elaine and Tylor Murray, Brittany and Jacob Fisher, Dalton (Danielle) Jones, and Dillion and Victoria Jones; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Corbin, Tressa and Briella; a sister, Charlene Forsythe of Bellefontaine; and a nephew, Scott (Karin) German of Bellefontaine.
Christine worked as the transportation secretary for Super Foods for 25 years, a receptionist at Mad River Internal Medicine and bartender at the Eagles and the former Holiday Inn.
A 1964 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, she was a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church. She loved her popcorn, watching movies and most of all, spending time with her family.
Pastor Keith Landis officiates a noon Saturday service at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior to the service. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.
