Burl H. Henry, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Logan County on Feb. 25, 1928, to the late William H. and Anna Marie Sine Henry. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Henry; two brothers, Robert Lee and William Henry; a stepmother, Kathryn Server Henry; and a stepbrother, Richard Server.
On June 16, 1984, he married the former Kathy Marsh and she survives, along with his four children, Donald Robert (Kim) Henry and Steven Lee (Susan) Henry, both of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Sheri (Skip) Riddle and Suzanne Henry, both of Marco Island, Fla.; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Dan) Fultz of Bellefontaine; a brother, Keith (Ida) Henry of West Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burl had worked at Merchants Industries for 44 years and Rath Information Systems for 10 years.
A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, Burl was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine and enjoyed fishing, working on lawnmowers and working in the yard.
Gene Marine officiates a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, with visitation two hours prior and military rites by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. Burial is at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
