Wesley C. Worrell, 62, of Rushsylvania, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. A sister, Rhonda Worrell, preceded him in death.
He was born in Franklin on June 18, 1951, to the late Willie and Alice Coyle Worrell.
On Nov. 7, 1970, he married the former Karen Wood and she survives, along with six children, Wesley Worrell of Rushsylvania, Lance (Jennifer) Worrell of Bellefontaine, Luke Worrell of West Liberty, Kari (Jeff) Thompson and Jessie (Barry) Hempy, both of Rushsylvania, and Alice (Dustin) Harmon of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Justin, Joe and Molly Worrell, Andrew, Josh, Jessica and Willie Hempy, Jessie Carmen, Nya and Nathan Worrell, Karen, Alexis and John Worrell, Vincent, Dometri and Sadie Harmon; sisters, Kathy (Bill) Bush and Moody (Billy) Scearce, both of Franklin, Daryl Banks of Kentucky; half-brothers, Jason and Dwayne Banks, both of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He retired from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.
Pastor Lynn Cleaveland officiates a funeral at noon Thursday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior. Burial is in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
