Audrey Grace Webber, 81, of Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014.
She was born in Champaign County on April 1, 1932, to the late Buell and Reba Trimble. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Willis (Nancy) Trimble and Glenn Trimble; maternal and paternal grandparents, Granville and Alabama Trimble and Addison and Cora Salyer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph W. Webber Jr.; siblings, Roger (Pauline) Trimble of San Diego, Dr. Patrick C. (Barbara) Trimble of Ray and Barbara Trimble of Bellefontaine; sister-in-law, Mary Jane (Trimble) Hickman; local cousins, Elizabeth Derr of Urbana, Opaline Minnich of West Liberty and Paul Picklesimer of Chillicothe; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Audrey graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1950 and completed secretarial school in 1951, graduating from the Columbus Business University. She was a secretary to the circulation manager for 10 years at the Columbus Citizen and private secretary to the president of JCPenney Insurance Corp. for 25 years before retiring.
She was a member of the Linden Northeast Lion’s Club, Scioto County Club and Quail Ridge Country Club in Boyton Beach, Fla. She enjoyed nature and animals, gardening, traveling and reading.
Audrey had a contagious smile and great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. She was a caring and friendly person to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, where a funeral begins at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment is at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
