James Raymond Woodruff, 70, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Springfield Regional Hospital.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Jan. 4, 1944, a son of the late James J. and Marjorie E. Gaver Woodruff.
He is survived by two sons, Kerry (Jodi Hindman) Woodruff of Russells Point and James Scott Woodruff of Bellefontaine; sister, Karen Kay (Jim) Morgan of Urbana; nieces and nephews, Lucinda Morgan, Melissa Graves, Karen Lynn (Greg) Richards and James Clark (Alisha) Morgan; and several great- nieces and nephews.
A 1962 graduate of West Liberty Salem High School, he was an avid OSU fan and loved his dog, Trixie.
He retired from Navistar after 29 years of service and enjoyed farming.
Pastor Michael Will officiates a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual.
