Jane Wells, 86, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Logan Acres.
She was born in Columbus on Aug. 14, 1927, to the late Burnett and Hazel Rinbolt.
On Oct. 31, 1947, she married Lester Wells Sr. and he preceded her in death, along with a brother, Charles Rinbolt.
Survivors include a son, Lester Jr. (former daughter in-law Joan); daughter, Susie Boone; brother, Virgil Rinbolt; grandchildren. Bernie (Meghan-Sharp) Wells, Beth (Eric) Atnip and George Wells.
She and her husband owned and operated Lester Wells Plumbing and Heating in West Liberty for 30 years.
Jane was an active member in the Order of Eastern Star, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Lions Club and Mary Rutan Hospital Ladies Guild.
She was a longtime supporter of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and was a 33-year breast cancer survivor. Jane also enjoyed local and state bowling, being a part of the ladies golf league, and gardening.
Jane was a huge sports fan who enjoyed watching football, basketball and baseball, and she enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports. Most of all Jane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation is one hour prior to a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Logan Acres Activity Fund and the West Liberty Salem Class of 72 Relay for Life Team.
