Gay Denise Mitchell, 57, of DeGraff, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born June 25, 1956, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Richard Wayne Wren and Gladys Winifred Gregory Wren, who survives in Bellefontaine.
On Feb. 14, 1981, she married Larry David Mitchell in Russells Point and he died May 27, 2010.
Survivors include three brothers, Richard and Christopher Wren, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Homer Wren of Columbus; two sisters, Barbara A. Hanger of DeGraff and Susan (Bill) Danyluk of Swan River, Manitoba, Canada; five nieces, Missy and Shawn Mitchell and Christina, Sarah and Teresa Danyluk; and two nephews, Jason (Brittany) Hanger and Ryan Mitchell.
She was a 1974 graduate of Indian Lake High School and a retired employee of Siemens in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and helping her husband on the farm.
Funeral services begin at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where calling is two hours prior.
The Rev. Kymberly James officiates. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
