Shirley Ann Allen, 76, of DeGraff, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at her home.
She was born Dec. 17, 1937, in Sidney, a daughter of the late Manfred Clement and Mary Elizabeth Parker Barga.
On Sept. 15, 1956, she married John Lamar Allen in DeGraff and he died March 9, 2013. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James M. and Charles E. Barga; and three great-grandchildren, Angle, Rebekka and Donna Frost.
Survivors include two sons, Chester Allen and Andrew (Michelle) Allen, both of DeGraff, a daughter; Becky (Robert) Berger of Quincy; three grandchildren, Brandy (John) Schut, Shawn Allen and Jerry (Leslie) Frost; three stepgrandchildren, Mindy (Brian) McCollum, Rick Cox and Jaime (Michael) Marsee; and great-grandchildren, Rayann Schut, J.J. and Michael Frost, Aurora Marsee and Sally McCollum; a niece, Kimberly Barga and son, James Champaign and a nephew, Duane Harman.
A homemaker, she also helped her husband, John, on the farm. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her animals.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Kymberly James officiates and burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
