Carroll J. Doty, 80, of Belle Center, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
He was born on April 29, 1933, in Rice Lake, Wis., to the late James Waldo and Marion Mable Coolidge Doty. He also was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Doty; and his brothers, Neil, Ernest and Roger Doty.
On Oct. 17, 1959, he married the former Ruth Elizabeth Newman in Bloomingdale, Ill., and she survives, along with his children, Marian (Vern) Ratcliff of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mark (Tonda) Doty of Rock Hill, S.C., and Joanne (Bill) Childers and Julie (Jay) Miller, both of Belle Center; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and a brother, Calvin (Pat) Doty of Menifee, Calif.
Carroll retired in 2011 from Belle Center Air Tool of which he was owner and operator since 1985. He was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ, the Gideon International, and enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling in Wisconsin.
Pastor John Watkins officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center, where visitation is two hours prior. Interment is in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
