Patricia A. Pool, 70, of Bryan, passed away with her family at her side at 8:07 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, in her home after an extended illness. Patricia was born in Springhills, Champaign County, on Sept. 14, 1943, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Mary Jane Wood Hughes.
On June 23, 1963, she married Roger E. Pool in Quincy and he survives, along with one son, Douglas (Kathy) Pool of Bryan; three daughters, Dana (Joe) Robb, Leann (Carl) Lillard and Tracey (John) Stokes Jr., all of Bryan; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn L. Hughes of Bryan; and a sister, Teresa (Bob) Thuel of Quincy.
She was a certified public accountant and owner of Patricia A. Pool CPA Inc. for 25 years.
Prior to moving to Bryan in 1977, Pat lived in Bellefontaine and taught first-, third- and fifth-grade classes in Logan County.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Bryan Lioness Club, serving as president three times, and national CPA organizations.
Pat enjoyed traveling, having been to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, all 50 states and taking cruises.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Lioness memorial service at 7:45 p.m., in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry St., Bryan, and one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with Pastors Jeff Motter and Becky Schofield Motter officiating. Burial is in Fountain Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bryan Lioness Club, Cancer Assistance of Williams County and Wesley United Methodist Church.
