Carl G. Lewis Jr.

Carl G. Lewis Jr., 71, of Dayton, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Carl G. Lewis Sr., and brother, Larry Lewis.

Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; children, Steve Lewis of Kettering, Kelly (Trey) Rushing of Dayton, Shawn Lewis of Atlanta, Shannon (Jeff) Barhorst of Beavercreek and Holly (John) O’Brien of Fisher, Ind.; nine grandchildren; brother, Bob (Bobbie) Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and sister, Andrea (Steve) Earick of Indian Lake.

Carl was a 1960 graduate of Beavercreek High School and a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He retired from General Motors after 27 years of service.

He was affiliated with the Milton Athletic Club, Dayton Gym Club and the Loyal Order of Moose, Indian Lake Lodge 1533.

A Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road, Dayton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton or Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
