Paul W. Byler, 67, of Belle Center, entered into rest at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at his home, after a heart attack. He was born in Hartville on Sept. 18, 1946, to Wallace and Mattie Troyer Byler, who survive in Belle Center.
Paul was a member of the Belle Center Amish Church.
On May 23, 1969, Paul married the former Leona Zook in Hartville and she survives in Belle Center, along with four sons, Jonathan (Susan) Byler, James (Lois) Byler, Philip Byler and Matthias (Deborah) Byler, all of Belle Center; three daughters, Rebecca (Marvin) Huston, Iva Kay Byler and Rachel Byler, all of Belle Center; 20 grandchildren; nine sisters, Judy (Leroy) Miller of Shipshewana, Ind., Ruth (Levi) Schlabach, Nancy Byler, Martha (Lloyd) Gingerich, Amy (Mahlon) Coblentz and Laura (Stephen) Miller, all of Belle Center, Elsie (Robert) Yoder of Blackville, S.C., Rachel (Steven) Miller of LaGrange, Ind., and Elizabeth (Paul) Miller of Crossville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sadie Byler, and a granddaughter, Jewel Faith Byler.
Bishop Marcus Schlabach officiates a funeral at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lloyd Gingerich residence, 4825 County Road 96, Belle Center, where visitation is after 2 p.m. today. Burial is in the Belle Center Amish Cemetery.
