Phyllis Joy Strayer, 84, of De Graff, died at 4:07 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Green Hills Commuity, West Liberty.
She was born Dec. 3, 1928, in De Graff, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Hazel Marie Hubbard Nogle.
On May 4, 1946, she married Robert Myron Strayer in Covington, Ky., and he died Aug. 6, 2003. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. and Leroy Nogle and one grandson, Michael D. Keaton Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Michael) Keaton of De Graff and Judy (James) Skinner of Hickory Corners, Mich.; a sister, Sharon (Dean) Stickley of Monroe, N.C.; two grandchildren; Crystal (Erron) Gilbert and Jeffrey (Jodi) Waters and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Shealan Waters.
She was a graduate of De Graff High School, a member of Rosewood United Methodist Church and was a retired assembler from the General Motors Corporation in Dayton. She especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Beverly Avers officiates and burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the donors favorite charities.
