Dexter N. Blanton, 72, of Belle Center, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born in Plain City on Dec. 8, 1940, a son of the late Melvin and Josephine Duncan Blanton. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Corrine Lewis.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Lou; son, James (Sherry) Blanton; daughter, Deidre (Rod) Lambert; sister, Frankie (Marty) Pearson; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blanton was retired from security, as well as construction.
He was a Jehovah Witness for over 60 years and proud of his faith. He loved his family, old automobiles, trucks, and country music. Memorial services are at the convenience of the family.
