Joseph Phillip Stephens II, 42, of Belle Center, died at 11:24 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born in Kenton on Sept. 1, 1970, to Joseph P. and Linda M. Harpster Stephens, who survive in Belle Center, along with a fiancée, Jackie Haynes of Lakeview; two brothers, John (Patsy) Stephens of Belle Center and Jeff Stephens of Mt. Victory; a sister, Jaime Stevens of Belle Center; several nieces and nephews; paternal grandmother, Pat Stephens of Kenton; and maternal grandparents, Bob and Ora Joyce of Ada.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Curtis Stephens and maternal grandfather, Myron Harpster.
Joseph worked as a journeyman sprinkler fitter and was a member of the Eagles Lodge 3615 of Indian Lake.
Pastor David Schneer officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, where visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and prior to the funeral. Burial is in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
