Nancy Jane Boyd Inskeep, 80, of Urbana, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Hearth & Home, Urbana.
She was born June 25, 1933, in Mingo, a daughter of Wilmore L. and Pauline Warner Boyd. She also was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Inskeep; brother, Coleman Boyd; sister-in-law, Florence Boyd; and nephew, Brian Boyd.
Survivors include daughters, Kay (Terry) Myers of Urbana, Leigh Ann (Mike) Inskeep-Simpson of Urbana and Alana Inskeep Neer of Urbana; grandchildren, Chad and Liam Myers, Burr, Leman and Brynach Simpson and Logan, Kaleigh and Landre Neer; one great-grandchild, Sirrus Neer; brother, Robert (Nancy) Boyd of Urbana; beloved pets, Pippi and Magee; and many close friends.
A 1951 graduate of North Lewisburg High School, Nancy was a member of the Urbana United Methodist Church and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Urbana.
She worked at the Champaign Telephone Company, volunteered and served on the board of the Cancer Association of Champaign County for many years, volunteered for Salvation Army, and enjoyed keeping busy doing crafts and using her “green thumb” to garden.
The Rev. Kevin Horrigan officiates a memorial service at 5 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Court St., Urbana, with visitation and a light meal at 6 p.m. Inurnment is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.
