Ramona J. Cavinder Core, 71, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died at 1:30 p.m. July 4, 2013, at the Gardens Hospice in Phoenix.
Born in Logan County on May 20, 1942, to the late Jess and May Taylor Cavinder, she married Dick Core on Feb. 16, 1961, and he preceded her in death Sept. 14, 2007.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Gene Cavinder, and three sisters, Lillian Rumer, Koneta Faulder and Barbara Butler.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Core of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Mike (Peggy) Core of Weippe, Idaho; a brother, Ron (Karen) Cavinder of Quincy; three sisters, Judy (Bill) Briley of Wapakoneta, Phyllis (Willard) Ballou of Sidney, and Alberta (James) Kennaw of Lakeview; a brother-in-law, Jack (Shirley) Core of West Liberty; and six grandchildren.
She worked for A.J. Bayliss Grocery in Sedona, Ariz., and retired from Wal-Mart in Cottonwood, Ariz.
She was a devoted wife and mother to her two sons.
Per her request, her body was cremated and no services were conducted.
