Frieda N. Siegenthaler, 85, of West Liberty, died at 8:33 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Mary Rutan Hospital.
Born in Columbus on Feb. 19, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Herman Carl and Nelle Hagans Kaestner.
On Nov. 24, 1946, she married Vaughn Leland Siegenthaler and he preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1991. Also preceding her in death were a son, Glen, who died in infancy, and two sisters, Barbara Kaestner and Margaret K. Cryan.
Survivors include three sons, Vaughn Leroy Siegenthaler of Reston, Va., and Duane Leland Siegenthaler and Matthew L. Siegenthaler, both of Urbana; two daughters, Ellen S. Brautigam of Wapakoneta and Lisa R. Turner of Rockport, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five nieces; and two nephews.
A former Graham Local School Board employee, Mrs. Siegenthaler also was a typist/receptionist for Logan County Children’s Services, retiring Jan. 1, 1994.
As a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, she served on the Worship Committee and taught Sunday School for many years. Currently, she was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Urbana.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris. A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1013 E. Lawn Ave., Urbana.
