Marjorie V. Wish, 90, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Logan County on Feb. 25, 1923, to the late Roy and Fern Frantz Keesecker.
On Nov. 29, 1942, she married Paul F. Wish at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and he preceded her in death Feb. 27, 2002. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel M. Keesecker, Ruth Thomas and Elizabeth Glett Wiley.
Surviving are two sons, James F. (Susan) Wish and Joseph P. Wish, both of Bellefontaine; five daughters, Sharon M. (Gale) Franklin of Jamestown, Sue K. Caro of Orange County, Calif., Joy A. (Steve) Wish-Climer of Bellefontaine, Joni (Ron) Galarneau of Corona, Calif., and Jeanne M. (Gail) Gildow of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; loving and caring nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Shirley Ebright and Barb Spath; and her best friend, Bernadine Cronkleton.
A homemaker, Marjorie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for 40 years and was active in the AWANA Club. She also was a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau Council 23 and a charter member of the Logan County Agrarian Club.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and entertaining at Wish’s Pond.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, and one hour prior to a funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeffory Willetts officiating. Burial follows in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
